Private Fuel Storage, LLC: Utah Will Benefit

The safe, clean, temporary storage facility proposed by Private Fuel Storage, LLC (PFS) will boost the Utah economy in numerous ways:

Hundreds of construction and manufacturing jobs, plus more than 40 full-time jobs will increase state and local taxes by some $4 million annually.
Up to $3.1 billion of the cost of developing and operating the facility over its maximum 40-year life will be spent in Utah.
PFS and its vendors are committed to local procurement of goods and services as much as feasible. Manufacturing and other services needed to support the facility will either spawn new industries or boost existing industries. New products and services developed for PFS can be marketed throughout the nuclear power and other industries, thus creating more jobs and a greater tax base in Utah.
